Awkwafina
American actor and musician Awkwafina debuted with sly songs that dealt with racial identity and sexuality with an incisive and humorous perspective, before increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. In the school, she focused on the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She was also a student of Mandarin for a while in Beijing. Following graduation, she decided to focus on music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included in her debut album Yellow Ranger. This album also featured songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown the city of New York Bitche$. The song was directly connected to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. She opted to pursue acting careers following the completion of her previous two endeavors, author and musician. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors to Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered several breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
