Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress during The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. Fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father, a professor of theater at one of Romania's top drama schools, is also an instructor in theatre. She was awarded with the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 at the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors. She was selected as the first European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. She was an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and saptamani si 2 zile (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 three weeks and two days) and was given the Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, she was a part in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she appeared as Yasim in Angwar, the BBC Five-episode Miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in The Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. Later, she had a major performance in the 2014 film Fury in which she portrayed the role of a German woman who was named Irma aunt of Emma.
