Linda Edna Cardellini is the daughter of Lorraine (Hernan), a mother, as well as Wayne David Cardellini (a father), who is a businessman. Linda is Italian via her father's grandfather. She received her training at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and started her career on the British television show Just William (2010). After her successful performance as Lady Rose MacClare on the period drama Downton Abbey from 2012 to 2015 Her first big break was in the fantasy movie Cinderella in the year 2015. James was then cast as the Countess Natasha Rostova as part of the television adaption of War & Peace (2016). Also, she appeared in several films, such as Baby Driver (2017) and The Dig -2021. We Go Back Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). The portrayal she gave of Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 earned her Golden Globes and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
